This unique sales center marks the transformation into a future community. The designer juxtaposes the beauty found under the night sky with that under the sun, seamlessly integrating the two. Through the use of "butterflies" and "plants," the space unfolds the possibilities of life and freedom, revealing a different dimension of time and space. It offers multiple functions and unique styles, catering to various needs such as setting topics, display, experience, and sharing.
The realization of this design showcases the designer's unconventional approach. Common materials are used in innovative ways, prioritizing atmosphere over decoration, details over craft, simplicity over superfluity, and the new over the old. The result is a spatial state that is both elegant and direct, creating a captivating environment for visitors.
The Bund Villa sales center spans an area of 1048 sqm, providing ample space for visitors to explore and experience the unique design.
Key tags for this design include Sales Office, Flora, Bamboo, Art, and Life, reflecting the essence of the space and its connection to nature and artistic expression.
The design team, consisting of Ning Rui, Xu Shanshan, and He Ning, worked collaboratively to bring this visionary project to life.
The interaction within the space is carefully curated to reflect the local features of the project. Drawing inspiration from "mountain, calligraphy, tea, and painting," the design incorporates negative space and landscape topography to convey the tranquil and peaceful way of life in Huzhou. The plant system is showcased through light-colored washed wood furniture, complemented by clean creamy white and large saltatory orange colors, adding a sense of vitality and flowing colors to the space. The interplay between the plants, light, and shadow infuses the space with a vibrant and airy atmosphere.
The Bund Villa project commenced in December 2020 and was completed in April 2021 in Huzhou, China.
Driven by the concept of sustainable development and green indoor air quality, the designer implemented a new approach of "pre-evaluation plus pre-treatment." This approach involved quantitative pollution prevention and control throughout the decoration and operation process, effectively reducing indoor air pollution risks and minimizing costs in terms of materials, labor, and time.
The design of Bund Villa presented several challenges, particularly in grafting the design concept onto the functionality of a sales office. The abstract and unprecedented nature of the design required the conversion of abstract thinking into reality, making it a breakthrough achievement.
The design of this project aims to bring the space closer to people, allowing them to form emotional attachments. Whether it's enjoying a cup of coffee, studying fragrances, engaging in conversations, crafting, studying, or entertaining, the space enriches people's lives and embodies the concept of a future community. By utilizing common materials in unconventional ways, the designer prioritizes atmosphere and simplicity, resulting in a comfortable and inviting spatial state.
